| elle est née et a vécue vingt-et-un ans dans une ville appelée Ave Maria, considérée comme l'une des villes les plus religieuses + elle n'a jamais connu son père ce dernier n'ayant pas assumé la grossesse surprise de ce qui n'était pour lui qu'un divertissement + elle a un frère jumeau qui a longtemps été le centre de son univers + aux yeux de tous elle était la fille et la chrétienne parfaite + en réalité elle n'a aucune croyance religieuse et ne peut s'empêcher de mépriser ceux qui y consacrent leurs vies + la nuit tombée elle sortait de chez elle en douce et allait danser jusqu'à pas d'heures, buvant et se frottant à de parfaits inconnus pour combler le vide d'un père absent et d'une vie qui ne lui ressemblait pas + lorsque son frère part pour la capitale afin de poursuivre ses études elle tombe dans une torpeur sans pareille + c'est au même moment que ses capacités magiques se révèlent + aux yeux de tous elle semble perdre la tête et commence elle-même à le croire jusqu'au moment où suite à des recherches concernant son père, elle apprend que ce dernier était un sorcier tout comme ses ancêtres + elle décide de se faire passer pour morte afin de partir, changer complètement de vie et en apprendre plus sur ses origines + elle est arrivée à Mystic Falls il y a de cela 4 ans + elle devient alors un vampire après que Damon Salvatore ait accepté de la transformer et de lui apprendre toutes les ficelles de sa nouvelle nature + elle n'a cessé de voyager depuis mais est revenue à Mystic Falls il y a quelque semaines en apprenant que son frère y était.
